Just like a slab of chocolate...

Well, the preparation is nearly done for the slab.... looks like a family block of cadbury milk chocolate hey???

The reo has been delivered and hopefully will be laid down tomorrow. Presently it sits on our neighbours empty block.

After speaking with our CSR, "T" whilst at the block, she mentioned that the pour would most likely be Monday or Tuesday next week.

Here are some pics:

This is the view from the corner of the garage , across the porch and the master bedroom:

We did have one issue, a broken riser pipe for the bathroom which will most probably need to be fixed before the slab is poured , "D" our site supervisor will look into it and we hope will resolve the issue a.s.a.p.

Our toilet has been moved too....LOL... do you think that the tradies were a little scared of it toppling over and maybe they have moved it again? It's still at an angle though.....
Who knows it may end up on the nature strip eventually????

More updates soon....

Wow! It does look like choccy!

Interesting that they are using sand construction instead of the waffles used by lots of builders these days. I prefer your slab - seems more "solid" I guess.

Excitement!

Thanks guys, Henley are using this type of slab in our estate anyway...Not sure if it's statewide or site dependent though???

I would assume there are pro's and con's for each type of slab construction???

By the way, the choccy has now been replaced by concrete, so it's all happening now!!!
